Henry T Parks

Henry Turner Parks 71, of Henderson, NC, passed away Saturday, October 19, 2024, at Maria Parham Health.

Born in Vance County, he was the son of the late Reynold Gill Parks and Rosalie Spain Stainback Parks.

Henry was of the Methodist Faith.

A funeral Service will be held Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Sossamon Funeral Home Chapel in Henderson. Conducted by the Rev. Frank Sossamon. Interment will follow at Sunset Gardens.

Survivors include his fiancé, Rose Newton Davis; one sister, Betty Rose McDade (Buster); two nieces, Kimberly Dawn Oettinger (Freddie) and Jeannie Yount (Bryan); three nephews, James "Tony" McDade, Reggie Parks (Kristie) and Brandon Parks; four great nieces, Dade Oettinger Jezierski (Josh), Morgan Owen (Austin), Laci Oettinger and Jessica Parks; and three great nephews, Jake Parks, Jackson Parks and Waylon Parks. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Reynold Gill Parks Jr.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. At other times they will be at the home of Kim and Freddie Oettinger.
