Hillman Hart Currin Jr., 79, of Oxford passed away Saturday, August 31, 2024, at his home.

Born in Granville County on September 4, 1944, he was the son of the late Hillman Hart Currin Sr. and Eleanor Mae Speed. He graduated from Oxford High School in 1962 and graduated from Wingate College in 1964. Hillman retired from The American Tobacco Company, Durham, N.C. and Central Carolina Bank as a Senior Mainframe Computer Operator. He served in the North Carolina National Guard from 1966 to 1971. Hillman was a long time member of Delrayno Baptist Church in Oxford.

Memorial services will be held Friday, September 6, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Delrayno Baptist Church. Pastor Joe Don Cooper will officiate.

Survivors include his wife of fifty-eight years, Gayle Barnes Currin; two sons, Frank Currin (Kim) and Randy Currin (Marie); five grandchildren, Nikki Rivera (Gus), Nate Currin, Caleb Currin, Blake Currin and Holly Currin; two great grandchildren, Dax Rivera and Cruz Rivera and one sister, Brenda Currin of Oxford.

He loved all of his children, grand and great grandchildren and will be missed dearly by them and friends.

The family will receive friends Friday, September 6, 2024, from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at Delrayno Baptist Church and all other times at the home.
