Cleveland Hunt Creech, 42, of Oxford passed away Sunday, November 5, 2023 at Duke University
Medical Center.
Born in Granville County, he was the son of Rosemary Malpass Creech and the late Charles Ernest
Creech.

Hunt worked at Robco Manufacturing as the lead in drafting and design for Alumadock Marine Structures.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, November 11, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Oxford Baptist Church
officiated by Reverend Brett Pardue. A private inurnment will follow.
Survivors include his wife of eleven years, Jacquelyn Louise Mathis Creech; three children, Isca Louise
Creech, Mathis Hunt Creech and Jacob Lapeer Charles Creech; his mother, Rosemary Malpass Creech;
one sister, Katie Creech Yarbrough (Kyle) and their four children; sister-in-law, Jericha McHugh (Paul)
and their three children; two brothers-in-law, Jonah Mathis (Sarah) and their three children and
Jourdain Mathis (Emily Swiatkowski) and their two children and his father-in-law, James Mathis. He was
preceded in death by his father, Charles Ernest Creech; his mother-in-law, Carolyn Schmitt Mathis and a
brother-in-law, Jacob Lapeer Mathis.

The family will receive friends, Friday, November 10, 2023 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Sossamon Funeral
Home of Oxford and, on Saturday, November 11, 2023 from 10:00-10:45 in the family life center at
Oxford Baptist Church.
