Ila P Langley
Ila Pennell Langley 76, of Oxford, NC, passed away Thursday, December 7, 2023, at her home surrounded by her family.
Born in Granville County, she was the daughter of the late Rayford Lloyd Pennell and Ila Pearl Morris Pennell.
Ila was a longtime member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
A funeral service will be held Monday, December 11, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Sossamon Funeral Home Chapel in Oxford, conducted by the Rev. Keith Williams. A private interment will follow at Meadowview Memorial Park.
Survivors include her husband, Billy Junior Langley; two daughters, Brenda Trickler (David) and Donna Beasley (Chris); a grandson that she raised, Scott Henley (Jerminia); four grandchildren, Amanda Newton (James), Jessica Trickler (Michael), Hallie Trickler (Leslie) and Christy Shuta (Austin); five great grandchildren, Trey Henley, Mackenzie Newton, Lincoln Henley, Ollie "Buddy" Newton and Levi Shuta; one sister, Rhonda Faye Ross (Bobby); and two brothers, Jack Pennell (Diane) and Wade Pennell (Janet). In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Wilma Simpson and Virginia Tuck; and one brother Ray Pennell.
Pallbearers will be Scott Henley, Chris Beasley, David Trickler, James Newton, Austin Shuta and Chris Pennell.
The family will receive friends at Sossamon Funeral Home of Oxford one hour prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. At other times they will be at the home of Chris and Donna Beasley.
