Irene M. Adcox

Irene McPeak Adcox, 94, of Henderson, NC died Friday, August 26, 2022 at her home.

Born in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late Zera Covela McPeak and Beulah Horton McPeak. She was the widow of John Adcox.

She was the former employee of J.C. Penny's Department Store and worked with the Vance County Board of Elections for a number of years.

Graveside entombment services will be held Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Sunset Gardens, conducted by the Rev. George Williams.

Surviving are one grandson, Stephan Charles Roberson, two nieces, Susan McPeak Singler and Judy McPeak Sloan, one nephew, Eddie G. Bryan Jr. She is also survived by two very important families in her life, David and Angela Brooks, Gary and Joanie Brooks and a "Very Special Friend", Jan Reese.  Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by, a son, Norman Covela Roberson, a sister-in-law, Juanita S. McPeak, a brother, Z.C. McPeak, a sister, Edith McPeak Bryan.
