James Clemon Collier Sr., 75, of Henderson, NC died Sunday, October 22, 2023, at his home.

Born in Nash County, he was the son of the late Charlie Clemon Collier Jr. And Virginia Ayscue Collier.

James was a retired welder and a U.S. Army Veteran, serving in the Vietnam War.

Graveside memorial services with military honors will be held Saturday, November 18, 2023, at 2:00 p.m., at Oakwood Cemetery in Louisburg, NC., conducted by the Rev. Ronnie Matthews.

Surviving are his wife, Shirley Baggett Collier; one son, James C. Collier Jr. And one daughter, Kimberley C. Parrish (Stanley); one sister, Vickie Setzer (Benny) and one brother, Randy Collier (Christine); three granddaughters, Amberley Rhyne, Chelsea Collier and Samantha Collier and three grandsons, Patrick Dickerson, Avery Adcock and Jordan Collier and one great-granddaughter, Ivy Jane Davis.  Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald Collier and Terry Collier.

The family will receive friends at his home.
