James Donald "Don" Gray Jr., 93 of Creedmoor, passed away on August 3, 2024.

Don, born March 28, 1931, was the son of the late James Donald "Jim" Gray Sr. & Rose McDowell Gray. He was retired from R.J.Reynolds tobacco company and the owner of Dutchville Builders Supply Inc. in Creedmoor. He was a member of the Creedmoor Masonic Lodge and Oxford Shrine Club. Don's passions in life were his horses, classic cars, Amish country, watching his grandchildren play sports and his big circle of family and friends.
Don was preceded in death by his parents & brother Bobby Lynn Gray. Survivors include his wife of sixty-six years Lillian Parrott Gray; children James Donald "Jimmy" Gray III wife Robin of Creedmoor, Elaine G. Tart husband Dwight of Dunn; sister Malda G. Kenyon of Charlotte; grandchildren, Austin Tart (Emma) of Clinton, Kendall Wooten (Houston) of Spivey Corner, Kelsey Parrish (Christopher) of Butner, great-grandchildren Gray Tart, Olivia Parrish, Aker Wooten & Case Wooten.
Funeral services will be held at Sossamon Funeral Home of Creedmoor, Monday, August 5, 2024, at 1:00p.m. Visitation will be following the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Banks Methodist Church in Wilton, NC or Creedmoor United Methodist Church in Creedmoor, NC.
