James Wilbert King 76, of Henderson, NC, passed away Friday, October 31, 2025, at his home surrounded by his family.

Born in Newark, NJ, he was the son of the late Norwood King and Catherine Ray King.

James proudly served his country in the United States Army.

Per his request, no services are planned at this time.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda Ann Rodwell-King; one daughter, Bria Sinclair King; one son, James Toure King; three sisters, Mary Irving, Lillian Allen and Sarah Murrell; as well as many nieces, nephews and other extended family members. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Joseph King, George King and Rudolph King.
