James Clifton Land, 80, of Oxford, NC, passed away Saturday, November 4, 2023, at his home.
James was born in Granville County to the late George Clifton Land and Carrie Belle Land. He retired from Burlington Industries after 35 plus years. James served on the Corinth Fire Department and was the groundskeeper/custodian for Corinth Baptist Church for many years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Roberts Land.
He is survived by two daughters, Faye (Jason) Davenport; Vickie (Art) Johnson; son, Cliff Land; brother, Robert(Diane) Land; 11 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; 2 nieces; 6 nephews; 2 step-sons, Chuck (Sue) Walker and Mark Walker; 3 step-grandchildren. Special trusted caregiver and friend, Daryl Currie.
Services will be Tuesday, November 7th, 2023, at Corinth Baptist Church. There will be visitation in the fellowship hall at 12:30-1:45 with the service beginning at 2.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Corinth Fire Department, 3678 Hwy. 96, Oxford, NC 27565.
