James D. Roberson

James Darrel Roberson, 75, of Henderson, NC passed away Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at Granville Health System.

Born in Vance County, he was the son of the late James Brame Roberson, and Ida Florence Smith Roberson.

Surviving are three daughters, Elaine B. Overton (Mike), Kathy R. Resendiz (Alex), and Vallerie J. Boyd; one son, Woodrow I. Boyd Jr. (Dawn); three grandchildren, David Beckwith Jr. (Michelle), Kristin Beckwith (Jonathan), and Christopher Boyd; two great-grandchildren, Lillien, and Cleo; three sisters, Jackie Robertson (Stanley), Terri Hutson (James), and Mary Limer; one brother Donnie Ray Roberson; and many nieces and nephews. Alongside his parents, he was preceded in death by his "Mama", Katie Smith; one sister, Brenda Hawkins; and his twin brother, Johnny Roberson.

A private memorial service will be held by the family.

The family will be receiving friends at the home of Alex and Kathy Resendiz.
