Jan Grzelak Jr

Jan Grzelak Jr. 56, of Goldsboro, NC, passed away Sunday, October 27, 2024, at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

Born in San Diego, CA, he was the son of the late Jan Grzelak Sr and Margie Melson Grzelak.

Jan was a beloved figure in Vance and Warren County. Every time you saw him, he was in high spirits and brought joy to those around him. He had a knack for making people laugh   and brightening their day. Kindhearted and friendly, Jan made everyone feel special. He was the light when people were having a bad day. His motto in life was family first. If you knew him you knew his family meant the world to him, and he loved them deeply. He was always bragging about his family, and he instilled the family first motto in his kids.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, October 31, 2024, at 2:00 p.m., at Sossamon Funeral Home Chapel in Henderson, NC by the Rev. Cleveland Harrison. Interment will follow at Sunset Gardens also in Henderson, NC.

Survivors include his wife of twenty-five years, Tammy Sue Lowery Grzelak; one daughter, Jennifer Voyles (William); one son, Steven Lowery (Vicki); six grandchildren, Alyssa, Payton, Tristan, Landon, Madisyn and Brooklyn; one sister, Audrey Taylor; as well as other extended family members. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, William Flippin.

The family will receive friends on Thursday one hour prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m.
