Jean Moss Englebright, 89, of Oxford, passed away Thursday, October 9, 2025, at her home.

Born in Granville County on July 23, 1936, she was the daughter of the late John Claudie Moss and Alma Pitchford.

Jean was a member of Banks Global Methodist Church and worked for Granville County Public Schools in child nutrition for seventeen years.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 11, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Banks Global Methodist Church. Rev. Anita James-Carnes and Rev. Neil Woodlief will officiate. Interment will follow at Englebright Family Cemetery.

Survivors include four sons, Kenneth Randolf "Randy" Englebright, Thomas Wade Englebright (Lisa Pendergrass), Larry Glenn Englebright (Donna McFalls) and Ralph Nelson Englebright; one daughter, Amy "Lynn" Englebright Harp (Kenny Harp); twelve grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; three sisters, Sarah Greenwood-Goodman (Robin), Dorothy Munn and Jenny Sue Culp (Tommie). In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Rowland Englebright; one son, Barry Curtis Englebright; one grandson, Travis Wayne Englebright; five sisters, Margie Eakes, Rowena Allen, Betty Lou Murray, Janet Herndon and Sally Richard; one brother, Rives Moss and one daughter-in-law, Susan Bawcum Wrenn Englebright.

The family will receive friends Saturday, October 11, 2025, one hour prior to the service at Banks Global Methodist Church. All other times they will be at the home.
