Jean Hicks Richardson, 77, of Henderson, N.C. died Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at Kerr Lake Nursing and Rehab.
Born in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late Marjorie Cawthorne Hicks and Ludie E. Hicks Jr.
Jean was a member of First United Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at 2:00 P.m. at Sossamon Funeral Home Chapel of Henderson. Burial will follow at Sunset Gardens, conducted by the Rev. Frank Sossamon.
Surviving are two sisters, Mary C. Granger (Charles) and Christie H. Henry (Bob); one grandson, Jaron Richardson, three step-grandchildren, Ashleigh West, Ben West and Emily Alley (Curtis), two step-great grandchildren, Connor Alley and Evalaya Alley and a special caregiver and daughter-in-law Jennifer West. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James W. Richardson; one son, Jason Hicks Richardson and one sister, Margy Lou Trado.

Pallbearers for the service will be Charles Granger, Kevin Granger, Cabe Granger, Ben West, Rob Eatmon and Bob Nadeau.
