Jeffrey "Jeff" Long Hayes, 62, of Nash County passed away Saturday, March 16, 2024, at UNC Rex Hospital.

Born in Granville County, he was the son of the late James Bernice Hayes Sr. and Janice Rose Long Hayes.

A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.

Survivors include one daughter, Olivia Hayes; one sister, Sharon "Shay" Bennett; one brother, James "Jamie" Hayes (Beth); his fiancé, Wendy Bunn; one stepdaughter, Amber Whitley (Edwin); three step granddaughters, Layla, Autumn and Kinsley Whitley and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Joshua Long Hayes.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
