Jimmy A. Reid

Jimmy Alan Reid –30, of Henderson, passed away Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at Maria Parham Health.

Born in Vance County, he was the son of Alan Ray Reid and Elizabeth "Libby" Ayscue Roberts.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, January 12, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. At Harriett Baptist Church. Conducted by the Rev. Will Breedlove. Interment will follow at Sunset Gardens.

Survivors include his mother, Elizabeth Roberts (William); his father, Alan Reid (Teresa); children, Kayden Reid, Khloe Reid, Olivia Hunt, Sophia Hunt and Aaliyah James; fiancé, Rachael Perkinson; a sister, Hillary Bolton (Dustin); two step brothers, Patrick Carroll and Justin Carroll; grandparents, Pat Pegram and Lakeeta & Gene Vaughan; a niece, Zoey Bolton; a nephew, Mason Bolton; and two special uncles, Earl Thomas and Charles Ayscue. He was preceded in death by four grandparents, Charles Ray Ayscue Sr, Maynard Pegram, and Herbert & Edith Reid.

The family will receive friends the day of the service in the church fellowship hall from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. At other times they will be at the home of Pat Pegram.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Jimmy's name to Sossamon Funeral Home, P.O. Box 138, Henderson, NC 27536 .

Pallbearers will be Dustin Ellis, Earl Thomas, Cody Parrish, Matthew Perkinson, Ricky Collie, Patrick Carroll, Jesse Cole and James Shealy.
