Jimmy Taylor Wilkins, 85, of Stem, NC, passed away Saturday, July 19, 2025 at his home.
Born in Granville County, he was the son of the late Theodore Roosevelt "T.R." Wilkins and Della Suitt Wilkins.
Mr. Wilkins was a member of Tally Ho First Baptist Church.
Surviving are one son Timothy Wilkins (Kim); one grandson, Ian Wilkins; one granddaughter, Tessa Wilkins; one sister, Virginia Vaughan; and several nieces and nephews. Alongside his parents he was preceded in death by both of his spouses Ellen Jones Wilkins and Frances Wilkins; two brothers, Leroy Wilkins and Bobby Wilkins; and one sister, Joan Wilkins Clark.
A graveside funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 23, 2025 at 11:30 a.m. at the Wilkins' Family Cemetery conducted by Rev. Mike Craver.
The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service from 10-11:00 a.m. at Sossamon Funeral Home in Creedmoor.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jonathan Adcock, Dewayne Lawson, Mike Mangum, Wayne Mangum, Jay Massey, and Eddie Oakley. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Harold Boyd, David Harrison, and Stevie Willis.
