John Lee Boyd, 54, of Bullock passed away Monday, February 24, 2025, at his home.
Born in Granville County on January 21, 1971, he was the son of Mary Leigh Hutson Boyd and the late John Taylor Boyd.
John truly enjoyed working as a mechanic and he loved his grandchildren immensely.
Funeral services will be held Friday, February 28, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Sossamon Funeral Home Chapel of Oxford. Rev. Cameron Currin will officiate. Burial will follow at Grassy Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
Survivors include two daughters, Samantha Moss (Jeremy) and Kerry Boyd (Cody); one son, Brandon Boyd (Becky); three grandchildren, Chloe Boyd, Jackson Boyd and Nathan Pearsall; his mother, Mary Leigh "Ma" Boyd; two sisters, Brenda Williamson (Michael) and Barbara Morris (Larry); four nephews, Greg Williamson, Patrick Williamson, Jordan Williamson and Shane Morris and numerous cousins and extended family. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandmother, "Junie" Hutson and two uncles, Wayne Hutson and Taylor Hutson.
The family will receive friends Thursday, February 27, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Sossamon Funeral Home of Oxford.
