John Joseph Watson, 66, of Stem passed away Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at Duke Regional.
Born in Ohio County, WV, he was the son of John Watson and Doris Christenson.
He was a member of Stem Volunteer Fire Department.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, December 9, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel at Sossamon
Funeral Home of Creedmoor. Clayton Voigt will officiate.
Survivors include his wife of thirty-eight years, Gloria Richardson Watson; two daughters, Johnette
Penny (Dustin) and Kimberly Klempa (Orphy); two sons, Michael Joseph Watson (Laura) and John Joseph
Watson II; six grandchildren, Maverick John Penny, Sydnie Watson, Hunter Watson, Emma Watson,
Trenten Klempa and Torrey Klempa and one sister, Diana Christopherson (Warren). Other than his
parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Connie Watson.
Members of Stem Volunteer Fire Department will serve as honorary pallbearers.
