Jonathan R. Freeman

Jonathan Richard Freeman, 42, of Wake Forest, NC passed away Saturday, October 1, 2022 at Duke Raleigh Hospital.

Born in Arlington, Texas, he was the son of Tammie Carmouche Crawford and the late Kevin Richard Freeman.

Jonathan was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Henderson.

A private family memorial service will be held in the Sossamon Funeral Home Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Frank Sossamon.

Survivors include his wife, Emily Arner Freeman; two daughters, Payton Joy Freeman and Delilah Elizabeth Freeman; a son, Liam Reece Freeman; his parents, Jim and Tammie Crawford; a sister, Sherrie Shield (Christian); a niece, Laura Grace Shield; two nephews, Crawford Shield and Asa Shield; and a grandfather, Jim Crawford Jr. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by grandparents, Joseph and Joyce Freeman; a grandfather, Jr. Carmouche; and a grandmother, Harriet Crawford.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be made in Jonathan's name to the Autism Society of North Carolina, Attn: Donations, 5121 Kingdom Way #100 Raleigh, NC 27607, or First United Methodist Church of Henderson, 114 Church St., Henderson, NC 27536
