Joyce Middleton
Daniel
January 20, 2025
Glory, hallelujah! Joyce Middleton Daniel has been called home to be with her Savior, Jesus Christ, on January 20, 2025. With joy and thanksgiving, we celebrate her reunion with her beloved husband, Jerry, and her cherished son, Charles. Though she will be dearly missed, we take comfort in knowing she is now surrounded by God's love, singing praises and playing the piano in heaven.
On June 3, 1944, C.H. and Joy Middleton experienced an unexpected joy when they welcomed not one, but two beautiful babies into the world! Joyce and her twin brother, James, formed a lifelong bond as the oldest in a close-knit family, alongside Joann and Jerry.
Raised on a tobacco farm, Joyce learned the values of hard work and resilience, which became the foundation of her character and guided her throughout her life.
Behind her kind brown eyes was a firecracker of a woman who wasn't afraid to fight for what was right. Joyce stood tall in courage and conviction.
A woman of deep faith, Joyce loved Jesus and lived her life in service to others. She was a member of Living Word Baptist Church in Creedmoor, NC
Survivors include her sisters-in-law, Faye and Libby Middleton; nieces, Amy Overstreet, Beverly Wilson, and Christy Getz; nephews, Greg and Brad Middleton; granddaughters, Jessica Green, Meghan Frink, and Triston Pelcastre; great-grandchildren, Ameriie and Kaniyh Green and William "Crue" Pelcastre; and daughter-in-law, LeAnne Daniel. She was preceded in death by her parents, CH and Joy Middleton; husband, William "Jerry" Daniel; son, Charles Daniel and stepson "William" Jerry Daniel II; brothers, James and Jerry Middleton; sister, Joann Middleton.
Joyce's wishes were to donate her body to the Duke Anatomical Gift Program. No services are planned at this time.
"Her Lord said to her, 'Well done, good and faithful servant.'" – Matthew 25:23
