Survivors include one daughter, Regina Lynette Brown; one son, Andrew Kent "Ken" Brown Jr.; three grandchildren, Claire Olivia Folk, Virginia Grace Folk and Chris Evans Folk III; one brother, John Michael Arnold and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Kent Brown Sr.; two brothers, Sidney Carey Arnold Jr. And Max Lindal Arnold and one sister, Janie Ruth Arnold.

Judith, known to most as "Judy", grew up in the Granville county area where she worked various office and administrative jobs early in her career.  Judy was a hard-working and determined person.  She, unlike many others, had the courage to change careers "mid-life" and followed her passion for surrounding herself with beautiful flowers.  It began with a stunning garden of roses on the side of her house that many people often stopped and asked if they could buy flowers from her.  She focused this talent, got the required training, and proceeded to open Butner's first flower shop on Central Avenue, called "Circle Plaza Florist and Gift Shop".  It brought her so much pleasure to spread joyful floral surprises to members of the community, as well as being a part of wedding celebrations, proms and the like. Even after selling her business, gardening continued to be Judy's favorite way to spend her time.  Whether it be flowers or vegetables, she was never any happier than when she was "digging in the dirt".

At the same time, Judy was devoted to providing a warm and loving home for her husband Kent and their two children. She had a great sense of adventure, whether it be camping, backpacking and even driving across the country to Alaska!  She cherished time with her three grandchildren and always welcomed them each summer to "Grammy and Grandpa Camp" for a week of food, fun and fishing!

It should not go unmentioned that Judy was a faithful servant of God.  She was a founding member of the Butner Presbyterian Church where she volunteered and served for many years in various roles and with the Women of the Church.

We all learned so many valuable things from her.  She set such a powerful example for the benefits of hard work and determination, and she also showed us how to love and care for others. She will be sorely missed by all who had the privilege to know her.  Rest in peace….
