Junior Roy Dolinger

Junior "Roy" Dolinger, 85, of Creedmoor, NC passed away Wednesday, December 7, 2022, at his home surrounded by his family.

Born in Raleigh County, WV, he was the son of the late James Roy Dolinger and Nola Blevins Dolinger.

Roy was a longtime member of Corinth Baptist Church in Oxford. He was a prior member and deacon of Angier Baptist Church and First Trinity Baptist Church. He retired in 1998 from UNC Carpentry Shop and then was employed with Angier Avenue Baptist Church as their maintenance person for many years.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2022 at 3:00 p.m., at the Sossamon Funeral Home Chapel in Creedmoor. Conducted by his nephew Jamie Dolinger. Interment will follow the service at Carolina Memorial Gardens.

Survivors include his devoted wife of 65 years, Mary Meadows Dolinger; one daughter, Marsha Perry (Wayne); one son, Steven Dolinger; two grandsons, Randall Dolinger and Jacob Dolinger (and their mother, Angela Dolinger); two great grandchildren, Scarlett Dolinger and Kynzlee Dolinger; two sisters, Betty Stamper and Janie Winters; two brothers, James B. Dolinger and Bobby J. Dolinger (Jane); one step grandson Ashton Reams (Kate) and his children Kimber, Ellie and Tara; as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Tressa Lynn Dolinger; and a sister, Linda Dolinger.

The family will receive friends at Sossamon Funeral Home of Creedmoor on the day of the service from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m.
