Laurie A Newton

Laurie Ann Newton – 91, of Butner, NC passed away Monday, January 16, 2023 at Peak Resources – Brookshire in Hillsborough.

Born in Granville County, she was the daughter of the late Sherman Merritt Newton and Annie Laurie Barnette Newton.

A family lead Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date. A private inurnment will take place at Carolina Memorial Gardens.

Survivors include one brother, Bob Newton; and many nieces, nephews and extended family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Sherman Merritt Newton Jr and Charles Noblin Newton.
