Lena C Beard

Lena Mae Carpenter Beard 74, of Henderson, NC, passed away Saturday, March 16, 2024, at her home.

Born in Wake County, she was the daughter of the late William Pugh Carpenter and Oza Mae Minga Carpenter. She was the widow of Edward Beard.

Lena was of the Baptist faith.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at 10:00 a.m., at Sunset Gardens in Henderson. Conducted by the Rev. Frank Sossamon.

Survivors include one daughter, Diane Cash (Joseph); two granddaughters, Kristen Cash and Samantha Cash; and one sister-in-law, Janet Norwood. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Mike Carpenter and Phil Carpenter.

The family will receive friends at the home of Diane and Joseph Cash.
