Leroy Honeycutt Jr., 92, of Oxford passed away Monday, October 6, 2025, at his home.

Born in Durham County, he was the son of the late Marvin Leroy Honeycutt Sr., and Margaret Louise McLean.

Leroy loved cooking and owned and operated Uncle Bunky's Pies, where he made hundreds of pies for many different stores in the community. He had a passion for bowling, fishing and his family. Every holiday was spent at his house, and he was the backbone of his family, keeping everyone together. Leroy was a member of Oxford Baptist Church.

Memorial services will be held Sunday, October 12, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. at Oxford Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Louise Clark Honeycutt; one son, Joseph "Joe" Honeycutt (Lois); one daughter, Diane Honeycutt; five grandchildren, Joey Honeycutt Jr. (Michelle), Michael Honeycutt, Timmy, Angela and Chrissy; two great grandchildren, Ryan and Andrew Honeycutt; two brothers, Bobby Honeycutt and David Honeycutt (Kim) and one sister, Margaret Compton. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Wanda Williams; one granddaughter-in-law, Debra Honeycutt; one sister-in-law, Joyce Honeycutt and one brother-in-law, Jim Compton.
