Lewis R. Fancher

Lewis Raymond Fancher Sr., 68, of Oxford, NC passed away Sunday, May 22, 2022 at his home.

Born in Cobleskill, NY, he was the son of Norma Sommers Fancher and the late Raymond Byron Fancher of Cobleskill, NY.

He was a member of numerous dairy cattle, hunting, fishing, archery, gymkhana, draft horse and farrier associations throughout his life.

No services will be held at this time.

He is survived by his wife of thirty-eight years, Michele Stafford Fancher, his children, Jeremy L. of Warner Springs, CA, Jason R. of Henderson, NC, Joseph J.  (Rachel Shoemaker) of Beaver Dam, VA, Jared J. (Therese) of Ballston Lake, NY, Lewis R. Jr. (Dawn Massengill) of Louisburg, NC, and Katherine R. (Johnnie Berry) of Henderson, NC; twelve grandchildren and two nieces and three nephews, two sisters Joann Graig of Blythe, GA and Dixie Smith Borst of Henderson, NC. He also leaves behind many unforgettable dear friends and family throughout his life.  Along with his father, he was preceded in death by his sister, Debra Baxter.
