Mrs. Linda Smith Boddie went home to be with her Lord and savior on February 4th, 2024.

Born in Breckenridge County Ky, she was the last surviving child of six of Rowland and Della Smith. She was the wife of William Willis Boddie Jr. of Oxford. She received her education from Holt School in Breckenridge Co, Ky. As a member of Delrayno Baptist Church, she was active in the WMU, the church choir, the social committee, and many other church activities. Linda was a homemaker raising three children however she had a life filled with many careers ranging from a crane operator at an aluminum plant to owning her own restaurant called TJ Subs in Oxford. Being raised on a farm, Linda was comfortable doing many activities such as gardening, fishing, hunting, and driving her brothers bull dozier. Thursday afternoon skip bo games with her special friends was also an enjoyment for her. Most of all, she like doing the Lord's work and being with her church family. She had a special gift of loving and truly caring for people and she always put other's needs before her own.

Linda is survived by her husband of 46 years, William Boddie; Daughter Gale Dickerson (Garry) Oxford; six grandchildren Melinda Merrell, Clarksville; Doug Wentworth (Kate), Russellville KY; Carey Wentworth Oxford; Fallon Jackson (Ronnie), Fayetteville; Nick Parson, Shelby; TJ Parsons Shelby, seven great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Linda outlived her two sons Terry Parsons of Shelby and Jack Goodwin of Fayetteville.

The family will receive friends February 7th 12:00pm to 1:00pm at Delrayno Baptist Church with funeral services to be held immediately following at 1:00pm. Services will be conducted by Reverand Joe Don Cooper. Burial to follow at Elmwood cemetery. Flowers and donations can be sent to Delrayno Baptist Church.
