Lisa Duke Ayscue, 60, of Henderson, NC passed away Sunday, September 29, 2024, at her home.

Born in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late Betty Jean Forsythe Duke and George Alton Duke.

Lisa was a member of Harriett Baptist Church.

Surviving is a daughter, Kristi Watson (Daniel) of Henderson, NC; a son, Jay Matthews (Melanie) of Henderson, NC; seven grandchildren, Hailey Ford (Kyree), A.J. Reavis (Amanda), Brice Newhouse, Ella Watson, Hadley Matthews, Harper Matthews, and Cayson Matthews; one great grandchild, Jackson Reavis; one sister, Denise Shearin (Joey) of Henderson, NC; a brother, David Duke (Lori) of Henderson, NC; and a special great niece, Rain Bowes. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kirby Ayscue.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 3, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Harriett Baptist Church conducted by Pastor Will Breedlove and Pastor Brandon Ayscue.  Burial will follow in Sunset Gardens.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Sossamon Funeral Home. All other times, they will be at the home of Daniel and Kristi Watson.
