Lottie P. Strickland

Lottie Pernell Strickland, 96, of Henderson, NC passed away Monday, March 11, 2024, at a local nursing home.

Born in Franklin County, she was the daughter of the late Sidney Washington Pernell and Jodie Faulkner Pernell.  She was the widow of Holden Curtis Strickland.

Mrs. Strickland was a member of Mountain Grove Baptist Church in Alert, NC.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 14, 2024, at 3:00 p.m., at Sossamon Funeral Home Chapel of Henderson, conducted by Rev. Leon Pernell.  Burial will follow at Sunset Gardens.

Surviving are four daughters, Barbara S. Buchanan, Carolyn S. Woodlief (J.W.), Sandra S. Hope and Donna S. Traflet (Michael); four grandchildren, Cathy Powell, Jodie Murrell, Stacey MacManus and Zachary Traflet; twelve great-grandchildren and four great great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Alisa Keaton and Curtis Hope, one great-grandchild, Samantha Keaton and five sisters and two brothers.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, from 2:00-3:00 p.m., at Sossamon Funeral Home

Serving as pall bearers will be Nick West, Christyan Keaton, J. W. Woodlief, Michael Traflet, Zachary Traflet and Michael Murrell.
