Lucille Marie Norwood, 80, of Creedmoor passed away Monday, December 30, 2024, at her home.
Born in Granville County, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Thomas Norwood and Annie Maude Thomas.
She was a devoted member of West Oxford Babtist Church.
Funeral services will be held Friday, January 3, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at West Oxford Baptist Church. Rev. Bruce Beck will officiate. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Gardens in Creedmoor, NC.
Survivors include two daughters, Brenda B. Currin (Charles) and Rosa Brannon (Timmy); three sons, Wayne Brogden, James Brogden and Tommy Jones; one grandson, Ashton Currin (Katie); one great granddaughter, Reagan M. Currin and many nieces, nephews and extended family. Other than her parents she was preceded in death by one daughter, Tessa M. Jones; one granddaughter, Ashlee M. Currin; five sisters, Ruth Averette, Belle Thacker, Martha Weary, Francis Pickard and Ida Elliott and seven brothers, Clifton Norwood, Tarence Norwood, Thomas Norwood, Dan Norwood, Charlie Norwood, Robert Norwood and Lawrence Norwood.
The family will receive friends Friday, January 3, 2025, from 1:00 to 2:00 in the sanctuary at West Oxford Baptist Church.
