Lucy Martin Stewart, 82, of Henderson passed away Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at her home.
Born in Person County on January 30, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Lambeth Pleasants Martin and Lillian Edith Martin.
Memorial services will be held Sunday, October 6, 2024, at 4:00 p.m. at Clearview Baptist Church with Pastor Abidah Shah officiating. A committal service will be held Saturday, October 12, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Mayo Chapel Cemetery, High Plains Rd., Virgilina, VA.
Survivors include three sons, Tony Mills (Leslie), Marti Stewart and Lance Stewart; her husband, Dwight E. Stewart; ten grandchildren, Gabriel Stewart, Holland Mills, Skyler Stewart, Mary Stewart Mills, Kelsi Stewart, Colin Stewart, Lexi Stewart, Autumn Stewart, Abigail Gentry and Grayson Stewart; one brother, Henry F. Martin; one sister, Clara M. Shepard and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Ernie Martin and Carl T. Martin and three sisters, Rosa C. Stewart, Nora M. Coleman and Margie M. Epps.
The family will receive friends Sunday, October 6, 2024, from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at Clearview Baptist Church.
