Mamie Lee Paschall Wilkins, 96, of Stem passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at her home.
She was the daughter of the late Charlie Price Paschall and Cassie Faulkner.
Mamie was born in Drewery, NC in Warren County. While working at the American Tobacco Factory she met her husband, E.B. Wilkins and together they had two children. She and E.B. farmed for many years and later she was a supervisor at No-Nonsense. Mamie was a member at Tally Ho First Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school, vacation bible school and kept the nursery for many years. She was a Girl Scout Leader and was passionate about many things including fishing, gardening and in her later years putting puzzles together.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 15, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Tally Ho First Baptist Church officiated by Pastor Eddie Nutt and Pastor Clayton Voigt. Burial will follow at South Granville Memorial Gardens in Stem.
Survivors include a daughter, Michelle Willis-Massey (Jay Massey); nine grandchildren, Jeffrey Canada, Joel Canada (Mari), Stevie Willis, Richard Simmons (Hilary), C hristie Adkins (Scotty), Jason Massey (Erin), Diana Richardson (Craig), Dylan Massey and Kyle Massey; twelve great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; a daughter-in-law, Diane Wilkins; a sister, Faye Anderson; a special friend, Rachel Blackwell; her caregiver, Joeanna Sammons and other family members and friends that loved and cared for her and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, E.B. Wilkins; a son, Dale Wilkins; a grandson, Justin Simmons and eleven brothers and sisters, Charlie M. Paschall, Rosa Mae Yager, Dorothy King, Pannie Kirchmsier, Julia "Tiny" Capps, Earl Wayne Paschall, Roger Paschall, Edgar "Bo" Paschall, Ray Paschall, Floyd Foster Paschall and James Paschall and her beloved cat, Pooh.
The family will receive friends Saturday, April 15, 2023, at Tally Ho First Baptist Church from 10:00 – 10:45 and other times at her home.
Flowers are accepted or memorials may be made to the Tally Ho First Baptist Church Building Fund.
Pallbearers for the service include Jonathan Adcock, Harold Boyd, David King, Wayne Mangum, Dennis Paschall and Larry Willis. Joe Green and Ed Winn will serve as honorary pallbearers.
