Margaret (Louise) G. Hines, 95, died Wednesday January 15, 2025 at the Duke Hock Family Pavilion in Durham, NC. Born February 13, 1929 in Durham County and daughter of the late Aubrey Kitchen Goss and Mamie Gertrude Tilley Goss Bullock and the widow of the late Dennis M. Hines. She is a member of Cokesbury Methodist Church where she was active in the UMW, Choir and Ladies Sunday School Class. She retired as an Office Manager with Bowers & Burrows Inc.
The Celebration of Life with be held Monday, January 20, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Cokesbury Methodist Church. The family will receive friends prior to the service at 1:00. Private interment will be held in the church cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be her sons and grandsons.
Louise is survived by a brother Aubrey Goss, Jr. (Polly). She is survived by four sons, Wayne T. Davis (Sylvia) of Alcoa, Tenn, Grant J. Davis (Linda #1) of Roxboro, NC, Aubrey D. Hines (Robin) of Marion, NC and Barry N. Davis (Linda #2) of Henderson; daughter Audrey H. Gower (Geoffery) of Seven Lakes, NC. She was proud of her children and their spouses; nine wonderful grandchildren and ten wonderful great grandchildren that she loved and two grand dogs.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her son Kenneth L Davis; by three sisters Josephine G. Stephens, Ruth Lurline G. King, and Dorothy Bullock Bass; two brothers Billy T. Goss and Hurbert Lee (Dick) Goss.
A very special thanks to the wonderful hospice employees at Hock Family Pavilion. Special thanks to her care givers Joanie Huff, Mary Watson, Juanita Williamson, Karen Coghill and thanks to some of the employees of Henderson Senior Citizen Home.
For those wishing to honor Louise by charitable contributions, the family ask that donations be made to her church Cokesbury Methodist Church, c/o Ruth Moss,1705 Allison Cooper Road, Henderson, NC 27537.
