Obituary

Margaret B Parham

Margaret Beal Parham 79 of Oxford, NC passed away Friday, October 27, 2023, at her home.

Born in Granville County, she was the daughter of the late Elijah Beal and Mattie Newton Beal. She was the widow of George Parham.

Margaret loved her God and her church. As a lifelong resident of Granville County, she was a long-time member of West Oxford Baptist Church where she sang in the choir and was a reader. In 2003 she retired from John Umstead after having worked for Burlington Industries as well as Granville County School System. She had a servant's heart and enjoyed giving back to her community, especially volunteering 15 years with the American Red Cross.

She, in short, made her mark on the community she loved and made a difference in countless lives, especially her family and friends. Her outgoing personality was ultimately comprised of humor, unwavering determination, undying love and a love of life. With a heart larger than life itself, she made a difference in her time here on earth in ways that only she could.

A funeral service will be held Sunday, October 29, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at West Oxford Baptist Church. Conducted by the Rev. Bruce Beck. Interment will follow at Meadowview Memorial Park.

Survivors include two daughters, Tammy Woody (Tim) and Diane Parham (Rebekka Reets); one grandson, Timothy Woody II; four sisters, Brenda Williams, Faye Cooper, Ann Barker and Teresa Noles; one brother, John Beal; and many nieces, nephews and extended family. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by one sister, Lynn Carpenter.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 29, 2023, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at West Oxford Baptist Church. At other times they will be at the home.

Pallbearers will be David Bullock, Randy Privette, Robert Stokes, Bryan Currin, John Beal Jr and Timothy Woody II.
