Margie Atkinson Noblin 85, of Oxford, NC, passed away Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at her home surrounded by her family.

Born in Robeson County, she was the daughter of the late William Robert Atkinson Jr and Ruby Stanley Atkinson.

She was a member of Oxford Baptist Church since 1965. Margie attended East Carolina University and North Carolina State University and received her master's degree to become a teacher and a librarian. She enjoyed gardening, fresh vegetables and going to the beach with her family.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Sossamon Funeral Home Chapel of Oxford. Dr. Brett Pardue will officiate. A private burial will be held at Meadowview Memorial Park.

Survivors include her husband, Roy Lee Noblin Jr.; one daughter, Mary Noblin Hill (Justin); one son, Roy Lee Noblin III; three grandchildren, Noah Noblin Hill, Gabriel Hill and Edyn Ruby Hill; as well as several nieces, nephews and other extended family members. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, William Stanley Atkinson.

In lieu of food or flowers, memorials may be made to Oxford Baptist Church in her honor.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home immediately following the service, at other times they will be at the home.
