Marie S. Carroll

Marie Strumb Carroll, 80, of Henderson, NC died Monday, November 14, 2022, at Maria Parham Health.

Born in Vance County, on January 20, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Charlie Graham Strumb and Lela Wilson Strumb

She was a member of Rock Spring Baptist Church and attended North Henderson Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 17, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at North Henderson Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Eddie Nutt.  Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery in Henderson.

Surviving is her husband of fifty-nine years, James Randolph Carroll; one daughter, Leigh Anne Clegg, one son, Randy Carroll (Kathryn); three grandchildren, Joey Wandzilak (Sabaha Khakoo), Christopher Clegg and Matthew Carroll; one sister, Mary Frances Watkins; three nephews, Jeff Watkins (Cindy), Brent Carroll and Greg Carroll (April), and many extended family members.  Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by, a son-in-law, Mike Clegg, a brother-in-law, Thomas Watkins and two nephews, Eddie Watkins and Craig Watkins.

The family will receive friends Thursday, from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at North Henderson Baptist Church.  All other times, they will be at her home.
