Marie Duncan, 89, went to be with her Heavenly Father, July 31, 2023.
Marie was a member of West Oxford Baptist Church where she served her Lord.
Memorial services will be held Friday, August 4, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at West Oxford Baptist Church with
Pastor Bruce Beck and Pastor Jim Whitehead leading the service. Burial will be private at a later date.
Survivors include two daughters, Rachel Nicholson and Paula D. Abbott (Robert); one son, Pello Lee
Duncan, Jr. (Janet); five grandchildren, Amy N. Bollinger, David Lee Nicholson (Kryston), Brooks Abbott
(Brittany), Emily Abbott and Audrey Duncan; five great grandchildren, Gary Pleasants, Cameron
Bollinger, Mason Schwartz, Maddie Fleming and Azalea Nicholson; three great-great grandchildren,
Brayden Bollinger, Elizabeth Bollinger and Jenson Tillotson and one sister Nancy H. Boyd (Bobby). She
was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-four years, Pello L. Duncan, Sr.; one sister, Shirley H.
Reich (Clayton) and one son-in-law, Ralph D. Nicholson.
The family will receive friends Friday, August 4, 2023 from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. in the fellowship hall at
West Oxford Baptist Church.
She has requested no flowers. If desired, memorials may be made to Church and Community Ministries
Building Fund, P.O. Box 1649, Oxford, NC 27565.
