Marsha Harris Ranes, 70, of Henderson, NC died Monday, December 2, 2024, at Maria Parham Health.
Born in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late Mary Pearl Collins Harris and Harvey Raymond Harris Sr.
She retired from Vance County Schools System, where she worked as a cafeteria worker.  Marsha was a member of South Henderson Pentecostal Holiness Church, where she played the piano at the church since she was eleven years old; she was also a member of the I.S.H. Ministry and the Anchor of Hope Ministry.
Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at 5:30 p.m.at South Henderson Pentecostal Holiness Church, conducted by the Rev. Mark Richardson and Rev. Frank Sossamon.
Surviving are her husband of fifty-two years, James Harold Ranes Jr.; two sons, Jim Ranes (Stephanie) and Jeff Ranes (Diana); four grandchildren, Justin Ranes (Kaitlyn), Avery Ranes, Aiden Ranes and Chasen Ranes; one sister, Sheila Harris, one brother, Harvey Harris Jr. (Mildred), and her beloved dog "Henry", along with several nieces and nephews and extended family members.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, from 4:00-5:30 p.m., at South Henderson Pentecostal Holiness Church.  All other times, they will be at the home of Jeff and Diana Ranes 274 Glenview Road Kittrell, N.C.27544.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the I.S.H. Ministry of S.H.P.H. Church 905 Americal Road, Henderson, N.C. 27537, or to the Anchor of Hope Ministry c/o Kay Barrier 70 Terrace Ave. Henderson, N.C. 27536.
