Martha T. Yount

Martha Taylor Yount,77, of Townsville, N.C. died Thursday, November 7, 2024, at Maria Parham Health.

Born in Durham County, she was the daughter of the late Vivian Lasater Taylor and Leroy Vincent Taylor. She was the widow of Norman Ray Yount Sr.

Mrs. Yount retired from Burroughs Welcome Pharmaceutical Company. She was a member of Rock Spring Baptist Church and former member and secretary of Townsville Volunteer Fire Department.

Memorial services will be held Sunday, November 10, 2024, at 3:00 p.m. at Rockspring Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Gary Brummitt and the Rev. Johnny Yount.

Surviving is a daughter, Kelly Yount, two sons, Norman R. Yount Jr. and Bryan J. Yount (Jeannie); five grandchildren, Travis Horner (Nicole), Adam Horner (Brooke), Heather Horner Short (Adam), Sierra Yount Lewis (Paul) and Miranda Yount, three great-grandchildren, Lucas Halic Horner, Isaac Atticus and Abigail Rae Lewis.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Townsville Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Box 2, Townsville, 27584.
