Marvin W. Garrett Sr.

Marvin Windell Garrett Sr., 83, of Stem, NC passed away Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at his home.

Born in Mecklenburg County, VA, he was the son of the late Charlie Ross Garrett and Julia Newton Garrett. He was the widower of Patricia Winters Garrett.

A funeral service will be held Monday, December 12, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at the Sossamon Funeral Home Chapel in Creedmoor. Conducted by Pastor Buddy Ritter. Interment will follow the service at Community Gardens in Stem.

Survivors include one daughter, Karen Marie Garrett Cifers (Russell); one son, Marvin Windell Garrett Jr. (Tina); seven grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; two brothers; and several nieces, nephews and extended family. In addition to his wife and his parents, he was preceded in death by one grandchild and one great grandchild.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on the day of the service from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m.

Pallbearers will be Julian Garrett, Marshall Bean, Claude Winters, Wade Champion, Delaine Goss and Greg Henry.
