Mary Edwards Ayscue, 86, of Kittrell, NC, passed away Monday, September 7, 2026, at her home.

Born in Franklin County, she was the daughter of the late Jamie Edwards and Alice Patterson Edwards. She was the widow of Hugh Joseph Ayscue.

A graveside service will be held Friday, September 11, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Pernell Family Cemetery in Alert.

Survivors include three daughters, Carolyn Huff, Diane Ayscue (Chris) and Sherry Walsh (Art); two grandsons, Samael Walsh (Sarah) and Joseph Walsh; one sister, Louise Edwards; and a special friend, Linda Faulkner. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by one grandson, Jason Huff; as well as many brothers and one sister.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 10, 2026, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Sossamon Funeral Home in Henderson.
