Mary Lucille Cox

Mary Lucille Cox, 86, passed away peacefully Sunday, October 22, 2023, at Brantwood Nursing and Rehab.

Mary was born on February 8, 1937, in Granville County, NC, to the late Willie Cox and Mary Lovella Cox.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 26, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Sossamon Funeral Home Chapel of Oxford conducted by Rev. Terry Howard. Burial will follow at Meadowview Memorial Park.

She is survived by three sisters; Betsy Reese, Jean Elliott and Burnice Cox, one brother; Donnie Ray Cox along with many nieces, nephews and extended family. She is preceded in death by her parents, one sister; Alice Francis Elliott, three brothers; William Cox, Collie Junius Cox and Claude Thomas Cox.

The family will receive friends the day of the service from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. at Sossamon Funeral Home of Oxford and all other times at the home.

Honorary Pallbearers are Paul Cox, Tommy Cox, Bill Pritchett and Cam Pritchett, Cole Pritchett

Serving as pallbearers are, Hunter Talley, Bailey Watkins, Greyson Watkins and William Ray Cox Jr.
