Mary Belle Falkner Abbott, 90, of Henderson, was called by the Lord to come home on June 30, 2024.

Born June 9, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Sidney Lewis Falkner and Alice Moseley Falkner. She was the widow of Andrew Hartwell Abbott to whom she was married 68 wonderful years.

She retired from Sunset Gardens where she served for 26 years as a sales consultant.

She was a member of Freedom Life Church of God where she was involved with the nursing home ministry. Mary Belle had a deep love for her Lord and her family and was truly a blessing and inspiration to everyone around her.

Survivors include two sons; David Hartwell Abbott (Tina) of Henderson and Anthony Craig Abbott of Wake Forest, five grandchildren; Lauren of Nags Head, Jonathan (Lauren) of Knightdale, Hannah (Matthew) of Henderson, Cristin of Henderson and Tyler (Katie) of Henderson, three great-grandchildren; Levi, Elizabeth and Ryleigh all of Henderson. Along with her husband and parents she was preceded in death by four sisters; Theola Ayscue, Grace Harton, Ruby Watkins, and Magalene Childers, four brothers; Perry Lee Falkner, Melvin Falkner, Roger Falkner and Alexander Falkner.

A celebration of Mary Belle's life will be held on Thursday, July 11th at two o'clock at Freedom Life Church of God officiated by the Rev. Jeff Prewer.  An hour of fellowship will be held at one o'clock prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Freedom Life Church of God, 1001 Martin Creek Road, Henderson, NC 27537.
