Mary Candis Overton Moss

Mary Candis Overton Moss, 86, of Kittrell passed away Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at Maria Parham Health.

Born in Vance County on December 20, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Allie Lehman Overton Sr. and Sally Lee Woodlief.

She attended South Henderson Pentecostal Holiness Church Getting up for Jesus Sunday School Class.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, July 19, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Oak Ridge Baptist Church. Reverend Frank Sossamon and Pastor Wes Garner will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Survivors include two daughters, Linda Milton Ramsey (Chuck) and Pamela Moss; three grandchildren, Jarrod Milton (Ashley), Kimberly Moss Stephenson (Jeffrey) and Kaitlyn Moss Alston (Anthony); three great grandchildren, Jamison Moss, Brooks Stephenson and Presley Milton; one sister, Sally Ann Van Dyke and several nieces and extended family members. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Rives Moss Sr., one son, Joseph Rives Moss Jr. and one brother, Allie Lehman Overton Jr.

There will be a public viewing Friday, July 19, 2024, from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at Oak Ridge Baptist Church. All other times, they will be at the home of Linda and Chuck Ramsey..

Serving as pallbearers will be Jarrod Milton, Jeffrey Stephenson, Eddie Garrett, Jeff Garrett, Scott Pernell and Edward Ayscue.
