Max Alan Keaton Sr.

Max A. Keaton Sr. 67, of 1355 Club Pond Road Henderson, NC passed away on Thursday, December 14, 2023 at Maria Parham Health of Henderson, NC.

Born on June 4,1956 in Spring Hill, Louisiana to the late Ralph Buster Keaton and Norma Pryor Beatty.

Max enjoyed horse racing and going to live track racing with family to watch the horses run. He also enjoyed watching Football and Old Westerns. Max was a veteran who served in the United States Marine Corps for 3 years and 7 months.

A funeral service will be held Monday, December 18, 2023, 11:00 a.m. at Sossamon Funeral Home Chapel of Henderson conducted by the Rev. Milton Abbott.

Max has brothers Karl Keaton TX, Luther Caffey NC, and Bobby Keaton (deceased). Sisters Christine Beatty NC, and Tawny SpielmanTX. He was married to Sylvia Pittman Keaton for 47 years. Max had a son Michael Paschall Jr. (deceased) Max Keaton Jr. (Lauren)NC, Cathy Keaton NC, Gary Keaton NC, and Tammy Boone (Wesley) TX. Max had 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Max loved his kids and grandkids and loved to spend time with them telling them all about fishing and how to raise fishing worms.

The family will receive friends one-hour prior to the service.
