Mayola Batchelor
Weaver
August 1, 2025
Mayola Batchelor Weaver, of Creedmoor, NC, passed away and entered the presence of the Lord on Friday, August 1, 2025, at Hock Family Pavilion surrounded by many of her children and grandchildren. She was born on November 11, 1928, and was 96 years young.
Born in Franklin County, she was the daughter of the late Noah Ervin Batchelor and Martha Ann Mullen Batchelor. She was the widow of James Patrick Weaver.
As a child, she was a member of Social Plains Baptist Church, and then a long-time member of Olive Grove Baptist Church as an adult. Even when she could no longer attend in person, she remained devoted, spending her Sunday mornings worshiping through televised church services and lifting her heart in praise from her home.
Mayola was a woman of unwavering faith who loved the Lord with her whole heart. She was a devoted mother, wife and community member. She was known for her great love of God and for her 6 children, in-loves, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a praying mother. She was proud of her family and that she has several Ordained Ministers in her family.
She served as a mother figure to many others beyond her own family and considered them her adopted children. She had a special way of making everyone feel loved and cherished; often calling them her baby. She nurtured countless lives with her love, wisdom, kindness and unconditional love. There are many who will remember her as a faithful servant of God and a pillar of strength in their lives. Her memory will continue to inspire everyone who knew her and her faith will remain a guiding light for many. Her doors were always open, and her table was always set with home cooked meals. Nothing made her happier than to have family and friends visit with her and share a meal together.
Her hobbies included crocheting, solving word search puzzles, and watching the Game Show Network on TV. She enjoyed sitting at her kitchen table, admiring all of God's creation, especially the birds and flowers. Southern Gospel music stirred her soul, and she loved going to gospel song services and listening to the Gaither Vocal Band. She found joy in her Sunday morning worship, and then NASCAR races on Sunday afternoons.
She was the epitome of what love should look like, and if everyone were like her, the world would be a much better place. Her life was a reflection of God's love, and her legacy of faith will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Her last words of wisdom were for everyone to love Jesus, love each other, and come to heaven to be with her.
