Michael L Moss Sr.

Michael Lee Moss Sr., 69, of Henderson, NC, passed away at his home on Saturday, November 1, 2025, surrounded by his family.

Born in Vance County, he was the son of the late Raymond Lee Moss and Martha McDaniel Moss. He was the widower of Ann Moss.

Michael proudly served his country in the United States Army. He truly loved spending time with his grandchildren and was an avid fan of NASCAR Racing.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, November 5, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Sossamon Funeral Home of Henderson.

Survivors include one daughter, Beth Francis (Sam); one son, Michael L. Moss Jr; seven grandchildren, Michael Scott Pennell, Lillian Francis, Andrew Francis, Summer Francis, Kayden Meade, Brayson Moss and Arabella Moss; three sisters, Peggy Campbell, Kay Stevenson (Robert) and Tammy Moss; one brother, Larry Moss; a special niece, Christina Franklin (Shawn); and many other extended family members. In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by one niece, Melinda Campbell.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to Amedisys Hospice of Franklinton, 3320 US Hwy 1 Suite B, Franklinton, NC 27525.
