Michael D. Watkins

Michael Dayle Watkins, 68, of Henderson, NC died Thursday, December 22, 2022 at his home.

Born in Vance County, he was the son of Doris West Watkins Frazier and the late William Watkins.

Mike attended South Henderson Pentecostal Holiness Church and he loved playing music with several different groups.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 12, 2023 at Sossamon Funeral Home Chapel in Henderson at 6 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Frank Sossamon.

Survivors include his wife of forty-seven years; Becky Dickerson Watkins; two daughters, Kitty Watkins and Krystal Watkins; one sister, Sherry Faulkner; three grandchildren, Sam Schuster, Kallah Hester, and Savanah Holder; and three great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Thursday, January 12, 2022 at Sossamon Funeral Home of Henderson from 5-6 p.m. and all other times at the home.
