Obituary

Nancy Ayscue Eason 84, of Henderson, NC, passed away Friday, March 13, 2026, at Duke University Hospital.

Born in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late Walter Dixon Ayscue and Mittie Lynette Clarke Ayscue.

Nancy was a member of North Henderson Baptist Church.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at North Henderson Baptist Church. Conducted by Rev. Eddie Nutt. Interment will follow at New Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.

Survivors include one daughter, Kelly Eason Robinson (Irvin); two grandchildren, Kristen Robinson (Paul) and Irvin Robinson III (Kayla); four great grandchildren, Dawson Robinson, Maverick Holt, Raelynn Robinson and Ayden Robinson; three nieces, Kathy Hancock (Cooper), Judy Harris (Mike) and Alice Hunt (Roger); as well as other extended family members. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Hazel Ayscue and Jean Collier; and three brothers, Paul Ayscue, Graham Ayscue and Dixon Ayscue.

The family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall one hour prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. At other times they will be at the home.

Pallbearers will be Steven Harris, Brian Harris, Irvin Robinson III, Steven Kennedy, Cooper Hancock and Ronnie Grissom Jr.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that contributions be made to North Henderson Baptist Church, 1211 N. Garnett St, Henderson, NC 27536 or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, www.stjude.org.
