Nancy W. Thompson

Nancy Carolyn Wallace Thompson, 82, passed away Sunday, March 20, 2022, at the home of her daughter, Susan Morgan.

Born in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late Charles Raymond Wallace, and Mary Louise Clopton Wallace. She was the widow of Roy Newcomb Thompson.

Mrs. Thompson was a member of South Henderson Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Surviving are two daughters, Rhonda T. Clark (David), and Susan T. Morgan (Dennis); eight grandchildren, Tonya (Rodney), Justin (Brittany), Amanda (Kanishka), Chase (Chris), Caleb, Heather (Josh), Jack, and Cricket; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Eve W. Stevenson (Charlie), and Linda W. Overton (C.T.); and several nieces and nephews. Alongside her parents and husband she was preceded in death by two sons, Randy Thompson, and Scott Thompson; and one brother, Charles M. Wallace.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, March 22, 2022, at 2:00 p.m., at the Sossamon Funeral Home Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Frank Sossamon. Interment will immediately follow the service at Shocco United Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 22, 2022, from 1-2:00 p.m. at Sossamon Funeral home. All other times, they will be at the home of her daughter, Rhonda Clark.

Due to COVID-19 concerns, and Caleb's lung disease, those planning to attend the service are asked to wear a face covering of some sort, and to practice social distancing.
